Sport-New reported, Aston Villa reportedly opened negotiations with the former Manchester United and Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov.
Bulgarian striker is discussing a contract agreement with the Villans, after released by AS Monaco at the end of this season.
Villa boss, Tim Sherwood, called targeting Berbatov, after the former club captain Stiliyan Petrov said that his compatriot keen to play again in the Premier League.
Villa said also will soon complete the process of loan Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor this week. Berbatov scored 13 goals in 38 appearances for Monaco last season.
